A man was arrested after he stole a computer from his neighbor and shouted "stop thief" to fool the owner, Beijing Times reported.

One night last December, Xiong, a worker from Hebei province, stole the computer from his neighbor's dorm in Beijing and used a facemask to hide his face.

When the sleepy neighbor woke up and cried for help, Xiong ran away, hid the computer in his own dorm and then returned to the neighbor's dorm. Breathless, he pretended that he helped chase after the burglar.

The neighbor saw through his trick and called the police who nabbed him red-handed after finding the stolen computer in his dorm.
