An 80-year-old Shanghai woman is worried whenever Friday rolls around because too many students show up at her door to volunteer, Shanghai Evening Post reported.
Huang said she feels exhausted when group after group of students show up and compete to shampoo her hair, clean her apartment, trim her nails, fold her quilts and sing her songs.
There are seven high schools and three primary schools near Huang's home and they require students to take part in social work.
There are only six bereaved elderly residents, including Huang, in the community of more than 3,000 households. She's not happy that they all show up on Friday.
