A job fair designed for mid-level management and
professionals will be held April 15 at the Shenzhen Convention and
Exhibition Center, which is expected to attract 20,000 accomplished
and experienced individuals.
Started in 1998 by the city's labor and social security bureau,
the fair, named “Talents Collection,” has become one of the most
influential job fairs in South China.
Employers attending the fair have been asked to offer mid-level
management positions with an annual salary of no less than 50,000
yuan (US$6,250). Jobseekers, on their part, need to have at least a
college degree.
However, foreigners will not be asked to present any certificate
or document, an employee surnamed Wu with the organizer said.
Though few companies will offer positions specifically for
foreigners, they are still welcome to try their luck as most of the
recruiters are foreign-invested companies and established domestic
ones, including some famous multinational companies, Wu said.
A total of 320 companies will attend the fair in the fields of
electronics, communication, bio-engineering, new materials, home
appliances, logistics, investment and retailing.
A list of the companies can be found on the fair's
Chinese-language Web site www.zshr.cn.
