Police have seized 21.9 kg of caffeine and ice and arrested six
suspected drug traffickers in southwest China's Yunnan Province, police sources said here
Tuesday.
Traffic police in Yun County stopped two buses on the 214
national highway on Saturday morning during routine checks. It
turned out one bus driver did not have a driver's license and the
other was not fastening the safety belt.
Two passengers on the buses fled when the police were dealing
with the drivers.
The police caught four suspects on the buses and carried out a
through search on the buses. They found 20 kilograms of caffeine in
10 packages and 1,915 grams of ice.
The police caught the two escaped suspects within half an
hour.
Police seized a total of 3,078 kilograms of drugs and arrested
3,764 suspects in the province last year, according to official
figures.
