Four people died and 22 others were injured after a truck plunged into a 100-meter valley in southwestern province of Yunnan, a local official said on Wednesday.
The truck overturned at 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday in Qina town when the driver, surnamed Zhang, from Xiaoping village in Yongsheng county, was driving back from the town.
Besides Zhang, the truck was said to have been carrying 25 villagers, who sat on concrete and asbestos tiles in the carriage, according to an official with the county government.
Four passengers died on the spot and 22 were injured, one seriously. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
