Adjust font size:

Three people were injured as a helicopter of Sunrise Airlines of Taiwan crashed at 00:15 Saturday at Shang-yi Airport in Kinmen, Taiwan local media reported.

The helicopter, which returned to Kinmen after sending an emergency patient to Taipei, crashed when it tried to land at the airport amid heavy fog. It didn't explode.

The three injured, including a pilot, a copilot and a life-saver, have been sent to hospital, and been out of danger after treatment.

The airport runway has been closed due to safety consideration and investigation need.

It's the first helicopter crash at the airport since it started to operate civil aviation nearly 20 years ago.
