Six people were killed and another critically injured by a flying tyre falling off a heavy truck in a road accident in central China's Henan Province on Tuesday.

The spare tyre fell off the fast-moving truck, hitting seven people on a motor tricycle at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday in Ruzhou City, witnesses were quoted by a local official as saying.

One middle-aged woman and a 18-month baby were killed on the spot, and four died after being sent to hospital. The other person was still in critical condition on Tuesday evening.
