Four successive earthquakes jolted Hualien of China's Taiwan region Friday, with the strongest one measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, local seismological monitoring network reported.
The first and also the strongest quake occurred at 5:01 a.m.. In the following 40 minutes, three quakes followed in the same area, measuring 3.9, 4.1 and 4.2 on the Richter scale respectively.
No casualties and damages have been reported yet.
