Forty-three people were injured when two buses collided in the northwestern Chinese city of Lanzhou on Sunday afternoon, Lanzhou Morning Post reports.

The accident happened on the Wuwei Road at around 1 p.m., when a bus lost control and run headlong into another which was picking up passengers at a nearby bus station.
Three passengers were seriously injured, the report says. The collision also knocked down a tree and damaged the door of a nearby shop.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
