Five people died after a mini-van and a truck collided in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Friday, police said.
Four of the passengers on the mini-van were killed in the accident on the road of Mulan County at 3:00 p.m., a police named Wang Wei said.
At least ten people were on the mini-van, police said. Others, including the driver, were injured and had been sent to the hospital, Wang said.
Two other people were on the truck when the accident happened. One died and the other who was the driver was detained by the police.
Only the truck driver was detained, because he was slightly injured, while the van driver, who was seriously injured, was sent to hospital, police said.
No more details were revealed by the police.
Further investigation is underway, police said.
