Identities of fourteen people killed in a collision in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province were confirmed, police said Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place at around 7 a.m. in Nenjiang County when a bus with 37 passengers and a dump truck collided head-on, said sources from the provincial department of public security.
At least five other people were seriously injured, said the sources.
The county government established 6 emergency teams to handle the aftermath. More than a hundred people including policemen, doctors and nurses joined the rescue efforts. All the injured were in hospital.
Senior traffic police officers from the provincial department are investigating the cause of the accident.
