An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale jolted Luodian County in southwest China's Guizhou Province at 8:05 p.m. Friday, according to a press release from the China Earthquake Administration.
The earthquake, with the epicenter at 25.5 degrees north latitude and 106.8 degrees east longitude, came from nine kilometers in the crust.
Luodian is part of the Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou.
No human and property losses have been reported.
