In order to shorten the cycle of new weaponry and equipment to be
combat ready, an army aviation regiment under the Chengdu Military
Area Command let its new pilots fly new helicopters in their maiden
flight training so as to enhance the flight training efficiency.
Moreover, by breaking away from its old training mode in which
the new pilots were only allowed to fly some basic and applied
training subjects in their maiden flight trainings, the regiment
has assigned veteran pilots to bring along new pilots to conduct
tactical flight trainings such as formation flight in complex
airspace and fast field take-off and landing training, etc.
