Only 42 percent of Chinese who took part in an international
survey said they were satisfied with their sex life, according to
annual research released by condom maker Durex yesterday.
The 10th such survey about sexual attitudes and behavior covered
more than 26,000 people from 26 countries, the Information
Times reported today. There was no information about the total
number of Chinese taking part in the survey.
The research revealed that Chinese men were more satisfied with
their sex lives than were women -- 46 percent of men said they were
happy but only 35 percent of women agreed.
The survey also found that the frequency of sex for Chinese
people was about 122 times a year, higher than the global average
of 103, the report said.
Greece is the most sexually active country in the world
reporting they have sex on an average of 138 times a year. Japan is
the least active with an average of 48 times, the report said.
The duration of sex among all the surveyed Chinese was 20
minutes, two minutes longer than global average.
However, only about 24 percent of the surveyed Chinese said they
usually reached orgasm when having sex, only half the global
average of 48 percent, the report said.
Sixty percent of the Chinese in the survey said that they were
longing for more love and care and 44 percent hoped to spend more
time with their partners alone.
To improve their sex life, almost half of the surveyed Chinese
said they needed to communicate better with their partners and 45
percent said they were considering adding some fun to their sex
lives.
Durex, the world's biggest condom maker, said it will release
more statistics about the worldwide research over the next 18
months.
