Adjust font size:

French supermarket chain Carrefour has canceled a three-day sales promotion planned for the May Day holiday on the Chinese mainland.

"Carrefour has canceled advertising related to the promotion, including those in the print and broadcast media and circulars, during the coming May Day holiday period," Chen Bo, media manager of Carrefour Greater China's headquarters in Shanghai, said on Friday.

A promotion of textiles and other items planned some time ago was also delayed, Chen said.
