Seven gang members have been jailed for crimes of extortion at the China International Exhibition Center, the Beijing Times reported yesterday.

Mou Jinghua, leader of the gang, was jailed for four years for committing extortion from food delivery people and office item rental men.

Between September 2006 and March 2007, the group extorted about 40,000 yuan (US$5,800) from people at the center, the Chaoyang District Court said.
