An arrest warrant was issued on Tuesday for a 42-year-old policeman who had shot a driver to death after a private dispute in southwest China's Yunnan Province, local police said.

Ji Zhongchun, a policeman with the Public Security Bureau of Mengzi County, was arrested on charge of murder after he shot Pan Jun, a 40-year-old employee of a local electric power company, to death on Feb. 13 .

Ji was backing his car up when Pan said his car had been scratched. Pan beat Ji during the quarrel, then Ji shot Pan to death.
