Three people died and six others were injured in a road accident Wednesday morning in central China's Hubei Province, the Badong county government said.

The accident occurred at about 10:40 a.m. when a minibus and a truck carrying fish collided in Shuipo Village, Badong County.

Minibus driver Peng Yuxiang and two bus passengers died on the spot. The truck veered off the road and overturned. Six injured people were sent to a township hospital.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
