The Chinese mainland confirmed 38 new A/H1N1 flu cases Wednesday, bringing the total to 528 with no fatalities.

Southern Guangdong Province alone reported 15 new cases from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 6 p.m. Wednesday, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Beijing and Shanghai each confirmed six new cases, while Fujian, Hunan and Liaoning provinces each reported two. Zhejiang, Anhui, Sichuan, Jiangsu and Jilin each confirmed one.

Of all patients, 275 have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, according to the statement.
