A fishing boat Friday collided with a sampan, a kind of small boat, on a channel between Macao Special Administrative Region and Zhuhai, a southern coastal city of the Chinese mainland, but people on board the two boats were not injured, according to the SAR's Port Authority.
The sampan, which was used in Macao to transport people through waterway, lost its power while sailing through the channel this morning, and was later hit by the fishing boat, registered in Zhuhai, the Authority said in a press release.
A woman and two children on board the sampan fell off the boat when the accident occurred, but they were all saved and were not injured, according to the Authority.
The Port Authority has launched an investigation into the accident.
