Bus accident kills 4, injures 33 in Guizhou

Four people are dead and 33 are injured after a bus rolled in southwestern China's Guizhou Province early Monday, according to local traffic control authorities.

The bus carrying 39 people from Liuzhou city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to Fuquan county, of Guizhou, rolled at about 7 a.m. as it passed through the county, said a spokesman with the county traffic authority.

Two people escaped unhurt, the spokesman said.

All the injured had been taken to the No. 1 People's Hospital of Fuquan, where one was described as critically ill.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
