A Beijing subway station reopened to commuters Monday afternoon after being temporarily closed following a bomb hoax, police said.
An anonymous caller phoned the 110 police hotline at about 4 p.m. saying a bomb at the Military Museum Station of Subway line 1 would explode in 10 minutes, said a statement from the Municipal Public Security Bureau.
Police were dispatched to the station in western Beijing, but no explosive device was found there.
Entry to the station was closed for about 80 minutes and the station resumed normal operations at 5:20 p.m..
The incident did not interrupt the operation of the subway line.
The bureau said police were still trying to find out who made the phone call.
