Four people died and eight were injured when a bus and a car collided in central China's Hunan Province Thursday, local police said.

The accident involving a car registered in neighboring Guangdong Province and a bus owned by a local transport company occurred at 3 p.m. on a highway in Yueyang City .

All four people in the car died and eight passengers on the bus were injured.

The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
