An earthquake measuring 5.0 degrees on the Richter scale jolted the Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province, northwest China, at 00:28 am Saturday, according to the national seimological monitoring network.
The earthquake occurred at an epicenter of 37.7 N. and 95.8 E., with a depth of seven kilometers.
