After its 18th National Congress held in November 2012, the Communist Party of China (CPC), the world's largest ruling party, has launched an anti-corruption drive to uphold discipline and principles. In a series of high-profile events, including bringing down a host of corrupt senior officials, launching the Party discipline agency's website, increasing transparency of public expenditures and closing luxury clubs for officials, the CPC has pushed the campaign forward with an iron fist.
