Workers inspect the engine of a Singapore Airlines passenger jet at
Beijing Capital International Airport, January 24, 2007. The plane
managed to land safely after an engine fire alarm went off. The
airline said flight SQ811, carrying more than 240 people, was an
hour and 40 minutes into a trip from Beijing to Singapore when the
pilot decided to return to Beijing due to the alarm. No passengers
were hurt, said sources with the General Administration of the
Civil Aviation.
