The world's largest amusement park devoted to ice and snow,
Harbin's "Ice and Snow World" will be open to the public on
December 24 this year, the Official website Xinhua.net reports.
With the theme of welcoming the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the
park will narrate the origins and development of the Olympics
through a feast of snow and ice.
Visitors will marvel at the charm and joy of the Olympic
movement by experiencing various entertainment activities held
within the theme park.
The park this year comprise six major scenic spots, covering an
area of 400,000 square meters, which consumes a total volume of
120,000 cubic meters of ice and 100,000 cubic meters of snow.
The park can receive an impressive 50,000 visitors at one
time.
