Students in Zhengzhou, in central China's Henan Province, will
send colored eggs as environmentally safe gifts for the upcoming Christmas holiday, local newspaper Henan
Commercial News reported.
Colored eggs were the most popular gift option in a poll taken
at the primary school in Zhongyuan District, Zhengzhou, from a list
of potential creative, handmade Christmas presents to make for
their families.
Unlike exchanging Christmas cards, which is both costly and
harmful to the environment, students are experimenting with more
creative ways to send their Christmas wishes.
Besides colored eggs, other popular presents include chocolate,
handmade flower baskets and self-designed Christmas cards.
