The Xueye tourist area of Laiwu City in Shandong Province was ratified as a model area of sustainable development, according to the provincial department of science and technology.
Xueye is the first model area of this kind ratified in the city.
The tourist area will receive more support from the provincial department of science and technology. Ecological conservation and environmental protection will be two priorities for strengthening efforts.
The local government aims to improve various infrastructures in the area for its living conditions, tourism attractions and investment opportunities.
