Commemorative postmarks released in Mo Yan's hometown

Mo Yan's works hot in bookstores 
A notice saying that works of Chinese writer Mo Yan have been sold out is seen at a Xinhua Bookstore in Yantai City, east China's Shandong Province, Oct. 12, 2012. Gaomi, Chinese Nobel laureate Mo Yan's home city in Shandong province, and the provincial capital Jinan, jointly released a pair of commemorative postmarks to celebrate his recent receipt of the literary award on Saturday.

The postmarks feature an image of the Nobel Prize in Literature medal, Mo's portrait and his signature.

Celebratory phrases, such as "the first Chinese national to win the Nobel Prize for Literature" and "hometown people congratulating Mo Yan on winning the Noble Prize in Literature" are also on the postmarks.

Mo, 57-year-old Chinese writer, is the first Chinese citizen who won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
