Shandong to become gold production center

Leading domestic gold producer Shandong Gold Group Co., Ltd. announced in a statement that the company will build a gold production center, with an annual output of 100 tons, on the Jiaodong Peninsula, Shandong province.
If the target is met, the company's gold output will be one of the top 10 in the world at the end of 2015 and one of the top 5 in 2020.
The Jiaodong Peninsula is the most important gold production base in China.
Since this year, the Shandong Gold Group Co., Ltd. has ranked first in gold output throughout the country.
