Shandong province makes efforts to promote the transformation of the mode of fishing growth and build modern fishing parks as industrial parks to enhance scale, standardization and industrialization of fishing industry.

Over 50 modern fishing parks, each of which has an area of over 666.7 hectares, have been built in the province. The fishing park in Dongying is the biggest one with an area of over 20,000 hectares.

These fishing parks actively forge long-lasting partnerships with institutions of higher learning and research institutions to apply latest developments of modern science and technology in fishing industry.
