Weihai's economic growth above average

In 2012, the added value of industrial enterprises above the designated size in Weihai city of Shandong Province, grew by 10.5 percent year on year, according to a work summary meeting of the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology.

Primary business revenues of enterprises above the designated size in 2012 reached some 554.3 billion yuan (US$88.9 billion), and total profits amounted to 27.9 billion yuan (US$44.7).

Building up its strength through its industry, the city has vigorously pushed forward 34 strategic cooperation projects and another six e-business platforms have been set up.
