On April 23, 2013, the Shandong College Students Science and Technology (S&T) Festival kicked off, with its opening ceremony held at Shandong Xiehe University.

The theme of this S&T festival is "Enhancing comprehensive quality, promoting employment." 15 key competitions, such as cartoon design award, a chemical experimental skill competition and science English contest, were on the agenda.

Since 2009, the festival has been successfully hosted for four consecutive years by the Shandong Association for Science and Technology. All universities in Shandong have been involved and the number of direct competitors has reached 77,000, of which more than 6,700 individuals and groups have been awarded. Nearly 2000 awarded students have found prioritized employment.

The science and technology Festival, as an important platform, offers great opportunities for enterprises to scout talent and promote students' employment.
