To promote the construction of “Two Districts” (the Blue Shandong peninsula economic zone and the Huanghe delta economic zone), provincial office offered a 1.89-billion-yuan in financial support for 104 of Weifang’s projects. Both the number of projects and the value of funds can advance those of other cities in the “Two Districts.”

In addition, Weifang has received a 50-million-yuan national fund for the construction of a new marine economic zone.

Weifang is a city with a land area of 16.1 thousand kilometers and a sea area of 1.4 thousand kilometers. In accordance with the“Two Districts”plan, Weifang has been included in the main body of the Blue Shandong peninsula economic zone. The Shouguang, Changyi and Hanting districts, under the jurisdiction of Weifang, have now been included in the Huanghe Delta economic zone.
