"The 2012 Comprehensive Evaluation of China Chemical Industry Parks and the Top 20 China Chemical Industry Parks" has been announced by the Chemical Industry Park Working Committee, according to the government of Dongying, Shandong province.

The Dongying Port Economic Development Zone was one of the twenty parks and is also the only park of Shandong province to receive an award.

The nationwide survey shows that there were 141 industrial parks that focused on petrochemical industries in 2012.

The ranking of Dongying Port Economic Development Zone, one of China's top 20 chemical parks, indicates its comprehensive strength in the chemical industry, but also shows that the zone is rapidly growing.

This rapid growth is expected to boost the development of the Yellow River Delta area and have a positive impact on the national chemical industry as well.
