Eco-efficient industrial system taking shape in Binceng District

The development plan of the Yellow River Delta Eco-efficient Economic Zone was officially designated as a national plan in 2009. Bincheng District in Binzhou City actively seized opportunities for development, made plans and implemented them in order to achieve remarkable results. The major projects have now been completed.

The district has improved its transportation system, water conservation, and other infrastructures in the past three years, and environmental conditions improved gradually.

An ecologically efficient agriculture and eco-friendly industries were formed.

Science and technology, education, culture, sports, healthcare, social security benefits and other social undertakings were also rapidly developed.

The GDP of this area was 30.844 billion yuan in 2012, an increase of 7.6 percent compared to 2011, completing 77 percent of planned targets before the 2015 deadline.

The industrial structure was further adjusted and optimized with the ratio of the three major industries being 3.22:48.6:48.18.

The per capita annual disposable income for urban residents reached 25,810 yuan, 13.2 percent up compared to last year, completing 83.26 percent of planned targets before the 2015 deadline.

The per capita annual net income for rural residents reached 10,362.9 yuan, an increase of 9 percent compared to last year, completing 91.6 percent of planned targets before the 2015 deadline.
