Among the top ten green cities in China, Shandong Province has three, including Yantai, Qingdao and Weifang cities, according to a report on China’s green development index in 2013 recently released in Beijing.

In the report, the green development index of 100 cities in China was announced, and ‘green examination table’ of these cities and public satisfaction degree surveys were also launched.

The green development was investigated by evaluation of green degree of economic growth, carrying capacity of resources and environment and government and policy support.

Other 7 cities included in top 10 are Haikou, Shenzhen, Karamay, Wuxi, Zhanjiang, Yan’an and Beijing.
