The first smart old people's service center in Shandong had its launch ceremony in Jinan on Sept. 11.

The Erqi Xincun Street Office in Zhong district arranged and established the smart home for the elderly after conducting several surveys and much research. According to plans, the district's old-care network will be completed within three years and will be promoted across the entire city, according to an elderly-aid program.

The Meitekang smart old-care system can provide senior citizens with reliable, timely and comprehensive health testing, analysis and evaluation via Internet, cloud computing and wireless Bluetooth technology, so that early interventions and treatments of diseases become available.

The elderly (users) and their family members (medical workers) can log into the service center's network and check the data and curves of their physical examinations to keep tabs on their health status. At the same time, workers with doctorate degrees in medical care can provide overall analyses, formulating personalized health plans regarding diet, exercise, regimen and health care.

In addition, services such as housekeeping, travel service and day care, are also provided.
