The publication distribution industry of Liangshan was named "Chinese Publication Distribution Industrial Base" by The Books and Periodicals Distribution Association of China, the first time to name a local industry a national industrial base.

Since 2013, Liangshan County has vigorously promoted the development of its publishing and printing industry, actively implemented the Digital Publishing Cloud plan, accelerated the development of digital multimedia, animation and digital and electronic products, positively built up teaching and testing network for middle schools and developed several products such as tablet learning devices for students and all-in-one applications for teaching and learning, making for an overall successful transformation from traditional to digital publishing.
