Mei Yonghong, mayor of Jining City, Shandong Province, led a delegation to participate in the 19th Shandong-Taiwan Economic and Trade Fair held in Taiwan Province from Oct. 27 to Nov. 1.

The delegation attended exchange activities at the fair, including urban management and development communication, a cross-strait cooperation and development forum and the Confucian Cultural Exhibition.

The visit was aimed at expanding economic and trade cooperation between Taiwan and Jining. The delegation visited personages from Taiwan's business circle and leading enterprises.

Jining is building a center of scientific development in west Shandong. A more business-friendly environment is being created and a batch of national industrial bases has been set up in the city. Many projects such as Hewlett-Packard have been introduced.
