Three villages in Dezhou City, Shandong Province, were included in a national 'Beautiful Village' pilot program by the Ministry of Agriculture, according to provincial tourism authorities.

Huangheya Township in Decheng District, Hongzhou Community in Qihe County, and Liangzhuixisen New Village in Leling City are among 1,100 villages making the list.

Building the 'Beautiful Village' needs to develop an objective system, promote typical pilot projects, and intensify efforts to conserve the ecological environment.

Dezhou will combine building a 'Beautiful Village' with rural ecological civilization development through integrating resources. The pilot villages will be given priority to be allocated funds for projects such as farmer training and agriculture technology extensions.
