In 2013, the gross revenue of Shandong tourist industry broke through the 500 billion yuan mark and ranked in the national top three.
After six years of promotion, the brand value of “Friendly Shandong” reached 17 billion yuan. With the establishment of two national 5A-level scenic spots -- the “Finest Spring under Heaven” and “Yimeng Mountain” -- Shandong now has nine national 5A-level scenic spots.
In 2014, innovation, a return to nature and win-win cooperation will become the targets of the Shandong tourist industry.
