The Shandong Paper-cut Art Research Association was recently established in Jinan.

With more than 1,500 years of history, the paper-cutting art was listed among the first batch of Chinese national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.

After establishment, the Shandong Paper-cut Art Research Association will organize paper-cutting art enthusiasts around the province to build up this art exchange platform in Shandong in order to create a good creative environment for paper-cutting enthusiasts and to develop the Shandong folk paper-cutting cause.
