15 national wetland parks (pilots) newly declared in 2013 were recently approved by the State Forestry Administration. Thus far, Shandong has 39 wetland parks, making it the No. 1 in wetland parks across China. Besides the national wetland parks, Shandong also has 81 provincial wetland parks.
