In recent years, "haze" has become the key word in the environment pollution discussion.

At the "Planting Trees to Fight the Haze" public benefit activity launch in Liaocheng of Shandong Province, Yang Xudong, deputy secretary-general of the China Green Foundation pointed out that there are two aspects to stop the haze: One is to control industrial emissions and another is to plant more trees.

In order to advocate the concept of green consumption and protect the ecological environment, Shandong Tralin Group, a famous papermaking company in Shandong, cooperates with the foundation and has set up a planting fund as well as several initiative public welfare events. It will earn money through its online charity sales and offline charity marketing and spend all of this on the construction of a forestry base.

Tralin is a paper enterprise using straw pulp. In order to get rid of the high pollution development dilemma traditional papermaking enterprises are struggling with, they established a cycled economy development model based on the in-depth use of straw.

It is planned to host planting event across 15 cities and will first start planting in Ningxia on March 12, 2015. People can purchase their seeds online and then the seeds can be put in the ground by farmers. It can improve the local ecological environment and create an income for local farmers.
