The Shandong delegation discussed the government work report on the afternoon of March 5. Guo Shuqing, governor of Shandong Province, said that the government needs to deepen its reform, speed up the adjustment of the industrial structure and improve people's livelihood in order to achieve sustainable and healthy economic as well as social development.

Guo pointed out that the report paid close attention to the livelihood of the people, as well as emphasized the aspects of education, health and culture. Shandong will improve its income distribution system as to guarantee those low-income people receive more benefits.

In addition, it will promote the equalization of public services, optimize education resources, deepen health care reform and improve the social security system.
