Hospital tents set up in Guangyuan

Hospital staff in Guangyuan in Sichuan Province are playing a crucial role in saving lives after the devastating earthquake. Many hospitals now have their facilities set up in tents.

Many hospitals now have their facilities set up in tents.

As soon as the earthquake happened, the Guangyuan city government began disaster relief efforts. The No. 1 Guangyuan People's Hospital has admitted over 60 patients. 32 of those came to the orthopaedic department and doctors have been satisfied with their operations.

In order to save lives as quickly and safely as possible, many hospitals set up tents in which to operate and care for their patients. Soldiers and armed policemen have been sent to provide security and maintain calm.
