More countries offered aid Thursday to China whose southwest Sichuan province was hit by a massive earthquake Monday.

Norway's Foreign Ministry announced that the Norwegian government will provide 20 million kroner (about 4 million U.S. dollars) in aid to help China in its relief work.

The Spanish government said it will donate 1 million euros (about 1.55 million U.S. dollars) to China.

Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht said the Belgian government will provide 650,000 euros (about 1.01 million U.S. dollars) in emergency aid to China.

The French Foreign Ministry said the country has decided to provide 250,000 euros (about 386,900 U.S. dollars) worth of relief materials to China's Red Cross to help the victims in the quake-hit areas.

Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis announced that the Greek government has decided to provide 200,000 euros (about 309,500 U.S. dollars) in emergency aid to China.

The Estonian government will donate 500,000 Estonian kroons (about 49,000 U.S. dollars) to China to express the government's and its people's sympathy and support to the people of the disaster-hit areas.

The Vietnamese government will offer 200,000 U.S. dollars in cash to help China in its relief work.

The Mozambican government will provide 40,000 RMB (about 5,700 U.S. dollars) in aid.

The United Nations' refugees agency UNHCR will offer 50,000 U.S. dollars in cash to support the Chinese government's relief work.

Additionally, many diplomats at foreign embassies in China are also making contributions under their own name.
