Vice Premier heads for epicenter to visit quake victims

Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang left Dujiangyan and headed for Wenchuan County, the epicenter of the May 12 magnitude 8 quake, at around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Li Keqiang, also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, arrived in the quake-hit Mianyang City in southwest China's Sichuan Province Sunday to oversee disaster relief work.

Li had paid visits to Mianyang, Deyang and Dujiangyan, cities struck hardest by the major earthquake on May 12.
